We are currently running a fundraising campaign to raise Money for our Local Jacksonville Community non- profit service Snap Food Products Local Community Buying Group Inc. A community food buying group created to save our members up to 60 % off of any local grocery stores lowest sales price.
Snap is an Innovative new concept in non-profits that was designed to fight the current and future dilemma that family's across the country are now and will continue to face in the foreseeable future. This is in regards to the rising cost and poor quality of the food products available to our families.
Snap is what you call a (CBG) or local community buying group. These types of groups have been around for a while but usually utilized by groups of business owners working together to get the best value, quantity, delivery times or prices for a particular product or service that they all share a common interest in. It works by them combining all their finances and inventory requirements together and then utilizing the power of this larger need to negotiate the best value and deal they can get as a group for the increased size of the purchase.
This is exactly what Snap Food Products Group is designed to do for the members of Jacksonvilles Community's. The difference is that Snap doesn't charge it's members a monthly fee and members pay for the groceries they need according to the family budget.
If you have noticed over the past few years, when you are on your grocery shopping trips. The prices of everything you but is continuing to rise and the quality is not up to par.
Well here's something you may not have realized. The grocery industry has been planning for a while now to close stores across the country and revert to offering only online membership, or subscription access to their products in addition they will also be charging high cost delivery fees.
In reality we have all been being slowly groomed to accept this as your only means of shopping.
The real problem is that they are going to present this new trend of shopping as either a money saving membership or subscription based online only service with rather expensive monthly recurring fees to have the service plus additional charges for delivery.
We have seen a trend in online shopping and delivery services for a while now. But when the big guys enter the arena we are going to be at their mercy.
They are going to present this new tactic to us as being buying groups.Well the truth of the Matter is, they are not really buying groups.
They are also going to try and convince us that this is going to provide us with the best service, prices and quality available.
Well this is a just marketing ploy that will only generate them the highest profit margins available.
Remember they will have no real overhead or operating costs, because they will have no stores to maintain and the number of jobs that will be lost is unimaginable.
Who are we to trust about the quality of the products they will be providing for us. Have you ever heard anything about some of the things that has been going on in the major grocery chain stores.
Anyway they made the shelf life of the meat they have been selling to the public last longer or at least look as if it was still edible. By pumping various types of gasses into the packaging of so called Fresh meats.
There was a news story about this a few years ago, when someone finally came forward. Apparently it was going on for years and it still might be happening for all we know.
